Physical Therapist

“A Physical Therapist whose work I admire tremendously once said, Movement isn’t important, until you can’t. As a Physical Therapist, I am always evaluating, assessing and looking to find the problem that is making movement hurt. Physical Therapy should never be pain or torture. If it is, it’s not being done right. Physical Therapy done well makes movement better.”

Laura Schindler, founder and owner of Advanced Physical Therapy Solutions, has been a Physical Therapist since 1992 when she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of North Dakota. She had previously completed a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at North Dakota State University. Laura also earned her Certificate of Manual Therapy in 2004 and is board-certified in Orthopedic Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Laura’s specialty areas of practice include orthopedics, disorders of the spine, functional movement assessments and interventions. A creative thinker, planner and implementer, Laura also enjoys various art and architectural projects, which is evident in the calming design and decor of APTS’s facility.

In 2004, Laura opened APTS with the vision to provide a therapy setting that allows patients to be seen one at a time, utilizing skilled, hands-on care. She also wanted to offer a facility that would provide professional opportunities for therapists to collaborate and expand their expertise in a progressive and supportive environment. From a staff of two, the practice has grown to approximately 20, and in 2011, APTS moved into the beautiful, state-of-the-art facility that is its current home. In recognition of Laura’s accomplishments, she was named Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of the Year in 2010 by the Center for Entrepreneurship of Methodist University.
